[Athi River Campus: July 27–28, 2026] Daystar University welcomed 42 new faculty and staff during a two-day induction programme which took place at the School of Law, David Musau Mumama Learning Complex.

The induction, organized by the Human Resource Department under the leadership of Deputy Human Resource Manager, Ms. Esca Juma, in collaboration with Ms. Lydia Pendo and Mr. Emmanuel Mbithi from HR’s Office brought together 26 members of staff and 16 faculty members drawn from various department and schools across the University.

Designed to ease the transition of new employees into the institution, the programme introduced participants to Daystar University's vision, mission, Christian values, governance structure, and workplace culture. It also provided an opportunity for them to gain a deeper understanding of the University's operations and the role each department plays in advancing its mission.

The inductees were drawn from a wide range of schools and departments including Finance, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Corporate Affairs, Security, University Estates, Admission and Records Department, Legal department, School of Education, School of Science Engineering and Health, School of Mission and Theology, School of Law, and School Nursing.

Throughout the two-day programme, departmental representatives from Human Resource, Finance, Admission and Records, Procurement, University Estates, Corporate Affairs, ICT, Security, Legal Office facilitated interactive sessions that familiarized the new employees with key institutional processes, available support services, and expectations for professional and ethical conduct.

Addressing the participants, Ms. Esca Juma challenged the new faculty and staff to uphold Daystar University's Christ-centred identity by embracing servant leadership, demonstrating excellence in their respective roles, and living out the values of integrity, stewardship, and transformational leadership.

She encouraged the inductees to view their positions not merely as jobs but as opportunities to make a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and society while advancing the University's mission of developing servant leaders for the transformation of the Church and society.
