FOSTER Project Legal Representative

At Daystar University, we are proud to champion Open Science as a cornerstone of inclusive, transparent, and socially responsive scholarship in Kenya and Tanzania.

Through the FOSTER Project (Project no. 101178078), we are advancing a shared regional vision that builds consensus among key actors, strengthens sustainable Open Science practices, and enhances modern research infrastructure. Our focus extends to embedding Open Science within institutional and national policy frameworks, while actively fostering citizen engagement in the research process.

We invite fellow Vice-Chancellors across public and private universities, researchers, librarians, civil society organisations, and partners across Kenya's research and higher-education ecosystem — including relevant ministries, regulatory bodies, research funders, and knowledge networks — to join us in shaping an open, collaborative, and impactful research ecosystem for East Africa and beyond.
